Deep Tissue massage
Deep Tissue massage restores structural alignment and balance within the body by releasing chronic tensions, formed by deep muscular tension, which inhibits postural ease and movement. It works mainly on the body’s connective tissue, or fascia, which wraps, binds, supports, and separates all the internal structures, including the skeletal muscles, bones, tendons, ligaments and organs.
Deep Tissue Massage is a highly therapeutic, firm massage which focuses on specific areas to relieve tension. Using various strokes and deeper pressure, specific muscle tension is released, nervous system relaxed and flexibility restored. This deep tissue massage technique helps loosen muscle tissues and get blood and oxygen circulating properly.
Deep Tissue massage strokes manipulate the fascia by action of friction and stretching. In the process of breaking down chronic tensions, breathing becomes deeper and the body regains its vitality and feeling. Emotions and memories that have been repressed within the body by muscular tension may be released.
Usually deep tissue bodywork session focuses and works on certain focus area of the body for the most of the session.
